What Lies Beneath
Old poem #3
Under the moon’s gentle pull
soft shimmering waves laugh and swell
Translucent beams shine like beacons
From the starry expanse above
Stars blink with the distance of a thousand miles
Winds hold the secrets of forgotten generations
In depths that fold death and life in a delicate dance
Beneath the ever changing waters
Lie mysteries unknown
And beauties untold
Shifting pearl sand
The echo of birds in flight as their delicate shapes
disappear into the night
Leaving light in the wake of their shadows

Felt so much from this poem, Kate. "Leaving light in the wake of their shadows" is such a great line!
Many blessings and MUCH LOVE! ~Wendy💜
